All five prayers are held day by day at Far Rockaway Islamic Center. Imam leads prayers in our open prayer corridor. With his calming and wonderful recitation, Masha Allah, you may genuinely focus on and appreciate your prayer. A calendar with prayer times is upgraded month to month and accessible in paper and online. In expansion, notices are made in case prayers are combined for a legitimate reason, such as severe climate.
Learning how to read the Quran with Tajweed is an essential part when it comes to reading the Quran. It isn’t only for young children and it’s never too late to learn the proper way to read the Quran. With age come responsibilities and a busy schedule which many times leaves little room to fulfilling the right of reading properly.
Salatul-Jummah (Friday Prayer) is held each Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Far Rockaway Islamic Center. Our energetic khateebs talk about changed and engaging subjects related to Islam and its application in our lives. We too have an open accommodation for sisters going to Friday prayer. During Ramadan, Iftar is provided monthly for the community. We aim to highlight the multicultural diversity we have as Muslims and have foods from many different regions of the world throughout the month.Iftar at Far Rockaway Islamic Center may be a one of a kind encounter and a incredible way to bond with the community and make a few new companions!

Both Eid-ul-Adha and ' Eid-up-Fitr prayers are held at Far Rockaway Islamic Center. Its a festive community affair, with refreshments, gifts for children in the community, and a khutbah delivered by our beloved khateebs. Rockaway Islamic Center also collects zakat-ul-fitr. In addition, we invite our reverts to a welcoming meal at one of the homes in our community, to help strengthen their bond with the community.
“When a person gets married he has completed half of his religion...” Nikah is one of the most important part in any Muslim’s life. Far Rockaway Islamic Center is pleased to provide Nikah services for the community. May Allah bless your marriage!
The reward for building a mosque is great and ongoing; for every prayer said inside a mosque you’ve helped Allah (SWT) will reward you in Jannah. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (continuing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him” [Muslim]
